Types of Manuscripts

CJESS publishes original research articles, review articles, and book reviews.

Original research articles should report research based on primary data and an appropriate research methodology. Manuscripts presented as original research articles that rely exclusively on secondary data without an appropriate research design or methodology may be considered outside the journal's requirements for original research articles.

Review articles should provide a systematic, critical, or scholarly synthesis of existing literature and should clearly explain the approach used to identify, analyze, or synthesize relevant sources.

Book reviews should critically evaluate scholarly books relevant to the journal's focus and scope and contribute to academic discussion in education or the social sciences.
